Definitive Audiophile pressings

Some people are saying that the order status on their backorders for some of the Lightnin Hopkins AP Prestige reissues have changed and they might ship soon. Goin Away is an absolutely incredible pressing so I highly recommend it. I may have to pick up some of the others

Did they re-animate the corpses of Charles Schultz and Vince Guaraldi to personally deliver the record to your house?

prices on it have gone crazy in general because its likely the last AAA pressing of the album. pretty sure the tapes are in awful shape. but yea...$600 is insane.
Does anyone here have the AP 33 and can compare to a more recent Craft reissue? I’m debating just picking up a Craft one and storing the AP. I’ve played the AP probably well over 100 times now and want to keep it in as good condition as possible. I don’t think my three year old kid cares about audiophile Charlie Brown Christmas as much as I do

i ended up using some store credit to get the VMP QRP one so I ended up paying about $25 for it. Of course Craft also just added copies of the QRP pressing to their site last week. The VMP sounds quite good to me. Much better than my older green fantasy pressing. Haven't listened to the AP though since I couldn't afford it in resale...

I'll trade ya the VMP one for your AP!

Didn't think I'd spin this much so just bought the CD (remastered! haha) off Amazon for $9.

I think the "VMP" one was the Craft/QRP. I have that and it sounds great. I only spin it 2-3 times a year so it's perfect.

Yea--I just meant that Craft put their own QRP pressed black copies up for about half the price of the one VMP was selling this year.

I think Acoustic Sounds may have also restocked this one.

It's hard for me to imagine how much better a Charlie Brown Christmas would have to sound to justify a 30x price premium. And I LOVE a Charlie Brown Christmas.
