Definitive Audiophile pressings

Oh damn, I guess they are not longer shipping from the UK as well then?

Per their email:

Additionally, to minimize in-transit damages and allow for a more streamlined shopping experience, we've centralized all of our inventory to our U.S. store (which ships worldwide) and designated Priority Mail as the only domestic shipping option to ensure better tracking and handling.

Annoying there isn't a UK pre-sale this time around. I put the order in for the US and will lookout for a UK one in general sale (I ended up doing that with the Coltrane and just cancelled the US).

@Andy did you put an order in?

Just looking at it now (It completely slipped my mind).

edit - I did put an order in in the end.

With the zerostat make sure you’re using it correctly! I was using it incorrectly for awhile before and now it works like a charm
Yeah. The biggest issue with the ZeroStat is the direction. They are pretty much pointless. I ended up watching like a dozen YouTube videos to figure out the best technique. It would be nice if they provided more detailed instructions l.

My order went thru like clockwork. Shipping actually showed DHL econ. I hope not. I was trying to swim thru the checkout so fast I didn’t see if they had other options listed. I just went with all defaults straight thru.

Totally. I’ve never spent this amount of money on any hobby I’ve had!

I got a missed delivery notice from my postman this week when I was at work and he’d written “another album shaped box” on it 😂

You will know ur moving up when the Postal Carrier sends u pics of damaged rec boxes b4 they head out on the route and occasionally drop off other peoples records to ur address: “Sorry, I saw it was a rec and thought it was urs.” :-).

Just watched the Bernie One step video & it shows him using a Zerostat on the Lacquer. I'm sure I'm not using this thing in the right way.

What's the proper technique?
Hold the record in your hand, slowly squeeze the zerostat starting at around 12 o’clock position on the record. If it clicks, you squeezed it too quickly. Keep it pointed at the same position and let the trigger go slowly. Repeat at around 8’oclock position then same at 4 o’clock position. Finally do the same right at the spindle hole.

It's a solid album but I already have the AP SACD and it's not one of those albums I need multiple copies of.

I haven't bought any of the Craft one steps but it looks like their boxing isn't ridiculous like MOFI or AP UHQR?
The packaging is probably my favorite of the three main one step box options. It’s very slim and well done. The UHQR is next favorite since you can still slide the record out. MoFis is the worst. Those are just stored in my basement at this point while the records are on sleeves on my shelves

Says back order but since they are still taking orders maybe u should grab one from ED. May be the last restock u can count on.
I placed a backorder when I saw your post, got a shipping notice today! Truly thought I’d be waiting at least 6 months

I'm convinced the reason Mofi does this is that those stupid boxes are actually cheaper than printing jackets.

With my Zerostat, it's virtually impossible to squeeze the trigger without at least one click along the way, and I'm talking a stupidly slow squeeze. Same for the slow release. But thanks for the instructions. That's basically how I've done it based on info found down multiple relevant rabbit holes. :D

I fished out my box…

IKEA provides better instruction and they don’t even use words.

Sounds like you’re too strong!

@TenderLovingKiller® Is right. Totally useless instructions. I don’t even remember where I read how to properly use it but i think it’s an amalgamation of a few different videos and sites.

This one definitely fits the “Definitive Audiophile Pressings” forum. Just finished 1st play-through now. It would be a great record to see how ur room/system handles bass notes without muddying the rest of the soundstage. Great harmonies of course. Super nice quiet pressing. This one is a classic in the making. And, still available if ur so inclined.
