You’ll be enjoying your Friday happy hour while I’m on my morning break tomorrow so it all evens out.
Airport beers this evening!

Wait? Y'all actually define your drinking in accordance with a space/time continuum? Mine just happens when it happens.
And I pay the consequences.
This is correct, hence their sub label under ecstatic peace is Goofin which is set up only to release SY releases.I think they might own their music, Geffen gave them a pretty kick ass deal when they signed. They essentially became talent scouts for the label and made money for bringing in band (like Nirvana). Also, they have their own reissue label, Goofin’ (get it… Geffen-Goofin’) where they’ve reissued a bunch of their Geffen albums.
Counterpoint - Dinosaur Jr.I also think never reforming has an enormous contribution towards any possibility of remaining cool. No one needs to see a “cool band” reform looking like your dad having a mid life crisis.
This was the funniest part of seeing Pavement a few years back. It was like Stephen Malkmus and the dad bods.I also think never reforming has an enormous contribution towards any possibility of remaining cool. No one needs to see a “cool band” reform looking like your dad having a mid life crisis.
Dinosaur Jr. is and always will be cool. They are the exception.Counterpoint - Dinosaur Jr.
I like a decent amount of their early stuff, but yeah it’s mainly because of Les. Dude is so creative. Most of my friends were very into them as teens, but they never really clicked for me other than the occasional song. I've loved all of Claypool's side projects though. He's great. Primus is just ok imo. But they do have a lot of diehard fans.
Oh hell yeah! That's gonna be an insta buy!I like a decent amount of their early stuff, but yeah it’s mainly because of Les. Dude is so creative.
And speaking of Les side projects, he’s currently working on a bluegrass album of fishing songs with Billy MF Strings!

Yeah, that’s kinda what we’ve been discussing; what this new plant means to MoFi’s ability to press artists and styles beyond Classic Rock and Jazz.I saw some news this morning and assumed this would be a good thread to share it.
New pressing plant from MoFi and Music Direct planned to open next year:
Fidelity Record Pressing to Launch Q1 2023
Fidelity Record Pressing, a state-of-the-art record-pressing facility constructed from the ground up in Oxnard, California, will launch in Q1 2023 as the country's premier vinyl production facility.www.musicdirect.com
I thought yall were discussing who should play the next Super Bowl halftime show?Yeah, that’s kinda what we’ve been discussing; what this new plant means to MoFi’s ability to press artists and styles beyond Classic Rock and Jazz.
Yeah, I was going to say..."just stopped" is certainly one way to put "the lead members had a nasty divorce because one of them was leading a double life with another woman for years."I think the divorce and its fall out not being particularly pleasant had a pretty big part to play in that tbf.

It's kind of a running American joke every year.Sure why would I be remotely interested in that!
What am I, their biographer?Yeah, I was going to say..."just stopped" is certainly one way to put "the lead members had a nasty divorce because one of them was leading a double life with another woman for years."
Still certainly one of the coolest bands of all time.
