Definitive Audiophile pressings

There's a lot of legitimate genres/types of music MoFi hasn't touched that they could absolutely go for.

I believe of their last 100 releases (sorted reverse chronologically using the Mobile Fidelity tag in Discogs), a whopping four were by women. So maybe a new pressing plant has room for a different chromosome set.

OK snark done but like...there's room to diversify beyond genre here.
Women who I'd love MoFi's of and would probably sell to their target audience:, while not moving too far away from their comfort zone...which I do hope they move away from.

Tori Amos
- Little Earthquakes
- Under the Pink
Melissa Etheridge
- Everything from Brave and Crazy to Skin
Joan Osborne
- Relish
Tracy Chapman
- Self titled
Joanna Newsom (maybe not their target audience, but I want this)
- The Milk-Eyed Mender
The Cranberries
- First three albums
Beth Orton
- Trailer Park
- Central Reservation
Alanis Morrissette
- Jagged Little Pill
Beth Hart
- Screamin' For My Supper
TLC
- CrazySexyCool

And I'm sure many more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

They did such an amazing job with Natalie Merchant's Tigerlilly - why not more of her solo catalog and 10,000 Maniacs?

Need them to press more Allison Krauss, and repress that Live box.

They could also look more pop heavy options too. All time vocalists like Whitney and Mariah and some modern stunners like Florence all have middling to good presses out there that could absolutely be made huge with an audiophile focused process, and that's just among names who could sell a lot of records in their sleep.

I had 10,000 Maniacs on my list at first, but couldn't decide what album is like to see, but I'd be for that for sure. And I wouldn't say no to a repress of Tigerlilly either. Classic album.
I would say the last three 10,000 Maniacs albums, and her first 3 solo records. Our Time in Eden is going for good money these days, glad I own it but would also love a MoFi version!

Yes this! 100 times this.

They could also maybe come over to Europe, go inter railing, it’s lovely, plus we released some music after 1980…

In all seriousness it’s a huge blind spot for so much of the industry, VMP as a modern company who like to advertise their inclusivity are lucky if they hit 25% in a year, never mind these dinosaurs. That said the fact that not a single audiophile company has even considered Joni is mind blowing to me.

Honestly, I’d rather have just a solid reissue company do stuff like this instead of MoFi. Give me a $25-$30 AAA cut done by one of the four horsemen instead of a $60 LP on superdupervinyl

Not super familiar with 10,000 maniacs but they did reissue this one

That’s my favorite by them, followed by Our Time In Eden. But In My Tribe is quite a bit better, IMO. Too bad their cover of Peace Train isn’t included.
