Welp, I reckon I'll be piffing a 2021 reissue in the near future then...Awesome. That Ocean Rain is absolutely amazing to hear.

I find it most noticeable with headphones. You can barely hear the bass on the 2021 reissue, whereas it is strong presence in the soundstage on the Japanese pressing.Welp, I reckon I'll be piffing a 2021 reissue in the near future then...
Whoa! Shots fired!HEY!!!! I live in Salem. Not many witches in this Salem, though.
(yeah...it sucks. But at least it's not Tacoma )
Whoa! Shots fired!
(No seriously, I live in Tacoma those were probably gun shots).
Yeah, We’ve talked about our common IIllinois roots. Tacoma isn’t as supposedly bad as it was back in the 80s but it’s still a bit rough around the edges. Locals like to play up the gritty image in hopes of keeping Seattlites and California transplants away but it’s a pretty decent city overall (I mean, it’s way better than Peoria or Springfield or Bloomington; not that is much of chore). To be honest, I really don't know the town and I'm a mid-west transplant, but it's what I hear around here.
I have a Japanese pressing & the 2021 RE. Both good. Japanese better.Welp, I reckon I'll be piffing a 2021 reissue in the near future then...
I've heard good things about these. Looking forward to your take.I'm not sure if they would be called "Definitive Audiophile pressings", but I have acquired all the recent half-speed cuts of the Roxy Music releases - and will be having a marathon of them sometime soon in the spinning thread.
I haven't listened to them all as I was waiting for the debut to arrive - it was my last ordered as I thought the recent Steven Wilson mix would be good enough, but I heard this one is better.
We will see.
Let me know. That's the only one I haven't ordered because I like the Steven Wilson remix too, but the others have all impressed me. Still have Flesh + Blood to listen to though. I think For Your Pleasure sounded the best on initial spins.I'm not sure if they would be called "Definitive Audiophile pressings", but I have acquired all the recent half-speed cuts of the Roxy Music releases - and will be having a marathon of them sometime soon in the spinning thread.

Hey now, I was born in Bloomington (IN) and live in Springfield (MO). Don't know Peoria, can't vouch for it.(I mean, it’s way better than Peoria or Springfield or Bloomington; not that is much of chore).
I like the recent half speeds. I didn't replace my Wilson mix of the debut, but that's mostly because I try to only replace albums I have issues with (or can resell).I'm not sure if they would be called "Definitive Audiophile pressings", but I have acquired all the recent half-speed cuts of the Roxy Music releases - and will be having a marathon of them sometime soon in the spinning thread.

Graduated from SMS, now MSU, in 1973. What an exhilarating time in so many ways. Being a hippie there, the buckle of the Bible Belt, at that time was dangerous but fantastically rewarding with pot highs made all the better because it was SO illegal. Legalized pot in current day Colorado isn’t nearly as much fun.Hey now, I was born in Bloomington (IN) and live in Springfield (MO). Don't know Peoria, can't vouch for it.

MO! Like @dansomeone. Heat in “Sprangfield” MO is killer enough. Can’t imagine Springfield MS heat. I think every state in the Union has a Springfield including wherever the Simpson’s are located.Mississippi?
Ah yes, it's a nice town, been here nearly five years now. I work a few blocks away from the campus. But I gotta disagree, the illegality caused stress for me at times.Graduated from SMS, now MSU, in 1973. What an exhilarating time in so many ways. Haha, are we going to revisit the Pavement - Box Elder lyrics debate?Mississippi?
Omg it's been a brutal summer. So hot and humid, yet no rain. The worst in my 30+ years in Missouri.MO! Like @dansomeone. Heat in “Sprangfield” MO is killer enough. Can’t imagine Springfield MS heat. I think every state in the Union has a Springfield including wherever the Simpson’s are located.
I love Springfield and could live there in a minute but my dear wife would expire in the heat and humidity. If I didn’t love her so much…Ah yes, it's a nice town, been here nearly five years now. I initially thought Michigan State University but the Bible Belt made me reconsider (and I still guessed wrong). Too many “M” States.Haha, are we going to revisit the Pavement - Box Elder lyrics debate?
I read this and immediately thought "steve wilson is remix old Poison records? this is the worst timeline"Let me know.
