Definitive Audiophile pressings

Lucked into this super clean copy for $36.

Sounds excellent to me but I don't have any other copies to compare.

Awesome find!

When I don’t wanna pull out my 45 RPM AP copy. I’ll instead reach for my 1972 twofer that includes a mono copy of Pet Sounds along with a copy of Carl & The Passions “So Tough” that sounds amazing and I picked up for super cheap years ago. I think the secret is out on that one unfortunately looking at the prices.

I got that one on eBay a few months back. It’s awesome.

The vinyl is really quiet on this copy. Makes a big difference.
My '63 Sufer Girl may sound a little better though.
It's got something really cool in the Capitol pressing.

This is the copy I have, from the original stampers

Just ordered myself the Eddie Hazel and Allen Toussaint since I've been on the fence on since they were announced.

Got them from LoudPizza - but didn't notice they were linked above - that's just where I had ordered the Yes Fragile SYEOR a few weeks back.

I probably won't order from LP again.
They have been shady with my order cancelation and shipping status sitting at "printed label".

After a week I finally got at least a shipping notification today....we'll see when it actually gets to a post office.

That mono Pet Sounds/Carl & The Passions used to be a sleeper 15 years ago - now it seems the word is out on it. You used to be able to find pristine copies in the dollar bins and thrift stores of that one.

Just because it goes for a lot on Discogs doesn’t mean it’s not in the thrift stores.

Yeah there was about a 10 day delay at that point for me and they were blaming the postal service. Highly unlikely USPS takes that long to scan a package.

Like I said just some shady BS I prefer not to deal with.
I hear you, but Plaid Room has had a blanket warning at the top of their site since Black Friday about their hub sucking and packages not being scanned until they were further down the pipe. I’ve experienced missed scans quite frequently the last year or two.

This doesn’t excuse poor cs. They should at the very least ask you to let them look into it.

Interesting. Yeah I don't take up for USPS either.
But if Plaid said they dropped off the package, I wouldn't question it. So there's that as well. Everything was fine with the pizza place in the end so no harm except note they don't take cancellations.

I can attest to the Indianapolis USPS hub sucking shit lately. It's possible shipments from Cincinnati hit us. I've had packages sit there for a week or two before moving. It's been all over the local news for the last month.

I have a shipment from plaid room coming that hit Indy yesterday. We'll see how long it sits.

I do have to say that my "shipping notification" was really just a notification that the shipping label was printed and there is now an associated tracking number...so we still have to wait on USPS coming to pick up the package.

There are hubs that I hate seeing packages go through - anything near New Jersey/Jersey City Hub is a black hole and adds an additional week to the shipping time.

I don't notice much difference in too many others, though. They all are slower these days....and then randomly a package will get here in 2 days from across the country.
