Discogs - Help, Tricks, Secrets And Tips

The irony of all of this is I listed 10 records yesterday and already sold one.
I listed a record on discogs last week. Some guy sent me a profane message calling me a flipper for posting a record that was from 6 years ago. I was asking under discogs median price and was the lowest current price. I looked at his account and he had 5 records listed, all from the past year and all limited variants of things he wanted $150+ for haha. People are weird lol

Probably was calling you a bad flipper for asking under median. Seems the thing to do nowadays is call people out for lowering the market value of an item. If the median is 300 and I post one for 100 people go batty.

Yeah. I think this guy is probably pissed that you are potentially lowering the price data on a release he is invested in for some reason. So, he wrote to you to insult you the best way he knew how: by accusing you of doing what he feels is most shameful about his own selling. Lmao.

What would be the proper color formatting in the FTF for this release.

Is Milky Clear correct? I know the color is supposed to come first but is "clear" the color or is "Milky Clear" fine as a color? Or should it be "Clear [Milky Clear]"?

this sorta thing is kinda tough and always gets contentious. usually the best choice is actual "color" first with marketing word or phrase in brackets like you stated: "Clear [Milky Clear]"

Yeah. I already changed "Around the Sun" form "Opaque White" to "White Opaque" and someone already commented that it was an incorrect change although the guidelines specifically state that the most distinguishing feature, in this case the color, should come first.

Anyone know how to merge what seem to be two listings for the exact same release? The 2016 listing adds nothing to differentiate it from the 2015 listing.

When you go to edit release, "merge release" will be an option. The numbers in the URL are what you need to enter in the version fields.
