Discogs - Help, Tricks, Secrets And Tips

nothing earth shattering here, but i was doing a random item thing and, on desktop and chrome at least, when you load your collection page, hovering over the random item button shows you the url of the release you'll get before you even click on it.

I had an item sell to a new user with zero feedback last week. They didn’t pay annd discogs automatically canceled it and left them negative feedback. It automatically relisted and immediately was bought again by a new buyer with no feedback. They have yet to pay. Why??

I have that going on also, my first time getting a non payment. I’ll be interested to see what happens tomorrow after day 4. It’s a higher priced item and I’m the lowest price. I was wondering if it isn’t one of the other sellers (pure conspiracy theory) and they want theirs the lowest. They joined the day I put it for sale.

I thought that too, because it was a more expensive item, and mine was listed at a lower price than the rest 🤔🤔

This has happened to me a few times. More than once, the new users were people new to Discogs and didn't realize they had to place the order and THEN pay separately. It can be a little confusing for new users I guess. I've had to cancel one order that somebody never paid, despite me messaging them once a week for about a month. I canceled it, Discogs left automatic negative feedback, relisted and immediately sold to someone who actually paid luckily.

Just chiming in to say that I've had this happen before too. Exactly like others. Mine was the cheapest option and the a brand new user with no feedback bought it. They never paid, which was kind of a relief because I didn't want to send them a $150 record and have them try to scam me, but other copies sold in those four days so they essentially just blocked a sale. But it sold the day after it went back up and I delisted the rest of my inventory. I just can't deal with the headache of selling on discogs since it's practically impossible to get anyone to help you in a dispute. Not worth the trouble with how many scammers are on there now.
