hmmm, maybe I'll try both. I'd like to understand the difference between two carts a bit better.
I’d love to hear your comparison!

I would like your thoughts on the Parasound ZPhono XRM? Go!
Yeah the website says new but I believe the unit has been out for a couple of yearsNot the foggiest. Also from their website it seems brand new, I doubt many have had ears on it yet. I’ve heard good things about the JC3+ and JC3 Jr. but no personal experience.

My contact now carries Parasound amongst other brands (Music Hall, Plinius, VTL, Bryston) so I was curious to what people thought about that particular phono stage which is more affordable than the John Curl designed JC3 Jr.
My dealer can get me that unit for $1850 cdn + tax instead of $2200 + tax.Save up for the JC3 Jr.
I'm curious if you would recommend the JC3 Jr. over the Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL?Save up for the JC3 Jr.

If my dealer can somehow get me a MX-VYNL at a discounted price I just may pull the trigger. He doesn't represent the brand but he knows the distributor and said he will see what he can doIf you can afford the JC3 Jr might one of the sutherland phonos be a better call given how highly they are rated on here. The 20/20 would be in that kinda range price wise. Maybe have a word with @juiceless I’m pretty sure he has one up there in Canada. At its price point I’ve seen nothing that would convince me that I’d be better off swapping my MX-VYNL, I’d be looking to save to at least double its worth before I would be tempted to upgrade and that money could do better things elsewhere in my system right now.

Hang on. Nobody had the internet in 2000!!!! Y2K crashed the entire online infrastructure across the world! Do you not remember? After 20 years I’ve just figured out my marantz CD player has a built in headphone amp ...and that I turn it down via the remote control volume buttons ....
Why did I not have the internet in 2000
