Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Don't know really. Just something I heard, sorry I doubted them. Glad your experience is great.
No offense taken! I have just always liked shopping with them and this was the first negative thing I’d ever heard. That’s not to discredit whoever you heard it from.

what is the sound difference between the cheaper audiotechnica VM95 line and the 2M blue.... i can probably afford both (even the shibata version of the 95) by february or march (im waiting for @Lord Diaper Baby to see if he still has his copy so i can support a member who has helped me a lot)

I don't know who asked previously about the speaker jumpers over the bars, but it prompted me to by the Zu IBIS Speaker Jumpers from ebay. I'm absolutely shocked how much better my B&W 606 sound. Beyond happy.
Nice! I was the one who had asked about it for some speakers I was giving to a buddy. I just used speaker wire but he's thrilled with how they sound, so glad to hear yours worked out too.

Been having some sound issues lately, particularly high end vocal distortion and have been trying to understand why this has become a new issue. Feels like anytime a vocalist stretches their vocals or really punches up their vocal delivery that the sound gets a bit fuzzy and uh “scratchy”. I’m attaching photos below, it looks like my stylus might be slightly pulling off to the right or I could be completely crazy and AP is just making subpar records these days. Would love to get another pair of eyes on this!
It was time for me to change my 2m Blue when it started doing that. I would check hours on the cartridge.

In theory it makes sense, but I'm blown away how much better it sounds. I was expecting bass sound deeper since I used the top posts, but the high and vocals are the difference. Soundstage is smoother. I will never use them again. I'm a complete hoarder and will throw them away.......tomorrow.

I have no experience with either but I have the AT-VM540ML. I'm betting you would prefer the AT VM95SH.

Edit: I prefer Shibata over Microline. No science behind it, but I think based of other posts you would also. The 95 series is probably at worst less than 10% drop from 500 series. I bet it is an absolute steal based of others reviews and how easy it is to find.

So are you plugging your main cable into the HF or LF posts? And then running the jumpers from HF to LF using spades while using banana clip on the main speaker cables?
