Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Y'all are just strengthening my resolve to get kit that is good and looks good. That's some dumb looking shit yall are posting. At least my nad will have some character some day in 2025 when it gets here.

Also, my wife isn't gonna put up with ugly shit, she barely puts up with it now.
 
I will say I do think my CD player is a very handsome piece of gear. For my money the best looking piece I have when the tubes aren’t lit up.

that looks exactly like the box @Mather is buying but with a screen and some slidy door shit on top. (Not really, I'm mostly kidding)
 
Looks aside @Mather with your new turntable and a JC3+, you’re covered as far as any cart you’d like to run going forward. They’d match well with your 2m Black, and last years or decades without you feeling the need to upgrade.

You probably will still want to, because, Mather, but you will find it harder to justify.

Haha yes that's kinda what I'm figuring. It'll just be nice going forward that when I want to go MC (I mean I have to at some point with these upgrades, just at least to hear the difference) I'm only worrying about the price of the cart, and not anything else I need. This will be the end game for a long time, at least until I move the system into a different room and go with a dedicated 2 channel amp, which I'm sure will happen at some point. Whether it's in this house or the next one.

My first CD player was a front loader with a door. Thing swung out and you placed the disc on the spindle and closed the door. It had a window where you could watch the colors spin...

Hell yeah, @Mather! Congrats! I've been overseas the last week, chiming in late here, but I have the style that goes over the entirety of the table and it looks absolutely badass.
