Edit: @Joe Mac I know the fix but I’m slammed at work. What’s it doing? Shutting down/red logo? If so, I know the fix.
Turn off your streaming stuff in the PS Audio setup menu. I’ll explain later. Should work.

I have no idea whether this fits the bill for you but Quad's Artera Play + might be an option. UK based. So sadly my preamp/DAC is acting the bollox, is out of warranty, and it’s likely a PCB issue that will need me to cover shipping to the uk, for repairs and parts, and shipping back.
Really is money I don’t need to spend but unless someone at PS Audio knows a simple fix I’m likely going to have to get a new preamp/DAC or each individually.
Currently looking at Audio GD and wondering if anyone knows of them or has any thoughts? Their R27RE is probably a bit more than I want to spend but seems to fit the bill better than anything else I’ve seen.
Also open to any solid alternative recommendations!

The cover has arrived. Love it. No glue. All walls folded... somehow, I have no idea how they do it.
@Joe Mac Ok sorry, there’s a similar issue with their integrated amp that has to do with firmware. Doesn’t apply here.
Does this only happen only with the digital inputs or all of them?
Can you humor me and unplug your sub from the Gaincell DAC? Does that solve the problem?
I got a little excited when I found out that Schiit had a CD player. I didn’t think it also be a little pricey. I appreciate its small footprint.
That’s fair. I just don’t think I want to spend that much right now. Although it does come in Silver. It’s not actually badly priced for a CD transport aiming at the higher end and yes it’s full width but it’s pretty short which means it’ll fit in most spaces. The slightly eccentric thing is that it uses usb to pass the CD audio to the DAC which I’ve never seen before but I suppose most modern DACs do have a USB in.
Is it really called the Schitt Urd?I got a little excited when I found out that Schiit had a CD player. I didn’t think it would be a little pricey. I appreciate its small footprint.

i'm assuming/hoping that's an Over The Top reference.Kind of like Mike Hawk.
Wow - that looks like a genuine end-game turntable!View attachment 177647View attachment 177648

What’s the price point? You all know I’m a fan of Bryston, but I buy all my gear used.So sadly my preamp/DAC is acting the bollox, is out of warranty, and it’s likely a PCB issue that will need me to cover shipping to the uk, for repairs and parts, and shipping back.

Firmware update?Yeah the PS Audio is both and so I need both and denafrips don’t do a combi lol.
I’m still hoping PS Audio can come back to me with some suggestions. It does work but with random glitches and errors occuring.
Last few days it goes a bit shitso after an hour. Sound cuts, random clicking (sounds like a relay opening and closing) and the display goes bonkers. Unplug it and after 5 minutes plug it back in again and it starts working. Not sure what to make of it.
