The board should absorb some heat itself and adds another air gap. Never used to get this issue in 4 years with them so
Like these boards better than the ikea ones, I think they look a little smarter. Only €1 more too. Still had the Hudson feet so just reused those.
I had to dig out the old larger shelf for the second power amp I used to have, buy some threaded rods, cut them down to size with a hacksaw and the rebuild the stand around them. As I’m sure you can imagine there was a fair amount of moaning and swearing!
Bonus is the larger shelf for the cd transport gives a very welcome 3cm extra for putting them in and out.

So anyway I think we’ve solved the problem. First extended listening today since Saturdays remodel.
It isn’t getting hot, it hasn’t tripped out and it’s sounding awesome! Also the extra room above the cd transport is a godsend!
