Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Hoping the same would hold true should I secure some CWs because I'd prefer to not require the powered sub. Definitely makes for a busy front wall, even with some things hidden already.
Been very happy with my Fortes wired directly to my KingKo (12W). I do have a quad of Fosi monoblocks coming just for hilarious experimentation, I'll let you know if quad-amping the system with two hundred solid state watts is a life-changing experience.

I bet giving them some more power will be a difference maker.
I have not seen anyone wire up 4 monos so looking forward to your feedback.

If I were to entertain a Cary Audio CAD 120S MKII
I've never heard a Cary Amp myself, but here's one trend I've seen.
I know several people that think quite highly of their amps. I also know about a dozen people who have owned a Cary Amp or two. I don't know anyone that has kept a Cary amp for more than a few years. Even those that speak highly of them.

One of those trends that stand out to me.

Totally understand. Hard to know how much of that to attribute to the typical upgrade bug and FOMO. My personal experience with other Cary kit has been exceptional, just haven't had any of their tube offerings... or tubes at all for that matter.

Anyone see these or hear them before? Very interesting looking speakets

That last picture threw me for a loop.

1. Way smaller than I expected
2. Speakers on the same plane as the turntable? If those speakers are worth even a quarter of a damn they’ll shake the shit out of the table. Pass on overpriced urban outfitter trash.

Your point two was my immediate reaction… “wait, you spent $5k on speakers to fuck Jo the sound getting to them?”

Also for 5k, I don’t want to be that nearfield either.

My understanding is that the newest Cornwalls and Fortes sound very similar, with the obvious difference of the lower bass extension for the Cornwall.

I’ve heard the Cornwalls a decent amount and they are awesome. The fact that they have no rear passive radiator makes them less sensitive to positioning than the Fortes, but…well, they’re big.

A little over a month with the JBL 4309s and they're fine but not really giving me what I want from a speaker. I've considered going back to the L82 while they are on closeout in a bunch of spots. However, also considering finally pulling the trigger on Lintons that I've coveted forever. My only concern with the Lintons is whether they might overpower my 13x12 room. Any thoughts?
