Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

A little over a month with the JBL 4309s and they're fine but not really giving me what I want from a speaker. I've considered going back to the L82 while they are on closeout in a bunch of spots. However, also considering finally pulling the trigger on Lintons that I've coveted forever. My only concern with the Lintons is whether they might overpower my 13x12 room. Any thoughts?
I think they'll be just fine. Ultimately they are large bookshelves, it's not like you're putting Cornwalls in there.

Welp . . . I did a thing.

Music Direct had a “scratch and dent” Masterdeck + Ultragold cartridge for 29% off. I was interested but didn’t want the cartridge so let it go. Then, for July 4, they had a 0%/36-month financing promotion, which induced me to call their sales dept and ask whether I could have the cart removed/excluded and for photos of of the “scratches and dents.”

Turns out the only issue is a 1-inch scratch somewhere near/under the gimbal. I’m not even sure it will be visible from most angles, and certainly not from anywhere someone is sitting in my living room. In other words, it’s basically as good as new as far ans I’m concerned and comes w/ all normal warranties, and they’re double-checking it b4 shipping. They also agreed to pull the cartridge.

So I’ve got a Masterdeck (w/out cartridge) on the way for 29% off, payable over 36 months w no interest. There are almost no reviews of this new table online, so I’ll be a guinea pig, I guess. I have been very happy w the Ultradeck and, aside from the upgrade generally, am very attracted to the extremely easy adjustability of the Masterdeck.

I’ll be selling my Ultradeck and will list it here when I receive the new unit. PM me if you’re interested.
That's also part of why I'm eyeing the L82s haha. ~2200 (B stock speakers plus JS80) over 36mo gives me plenty of time to pay it off while prioritizing some other nonsense

Their financing is how I got my Ultradeck, CD player, and Bluesound Node.

Too funny, I called about this deck when they first listed it, lol. Decided to pass because I might have another opportunity on the horizon.

Enjoy!

Can anyone recommend the easiest way to hook up a subwoofer with a speaker level input into a vintage receiver. Can the speaker wire go from the sub to the Speaker 2 input, and then set the receiver to play both speakers 1 and 2? (Example pics of what I’d be working with)

If you have the option to run Speakers A and B simultaneously, you’d run two runs of speaker cable (1/ea for the left and right channels) from Speraker B output posts on the receiver to the speaker level inputs on the sub amp.

Thanks, gonna give this a go. I swear I looked at 10 different forums and couldn’t lock down a direct answer like this.

What is the cheapest way to add Bluetooth to my primaluna? I already have an aux cord for it and can utilize that. I'm not worried about sound quality because I'm already giving up by using Bluetooth. Just want a way to let someone stream a song or Playlist if I have company over

If you’re cool with waiting I wouldn’t be surprised if Wiim puts stuff on sale around Prime Day. They often drop prices to like $60 or so for that model

Thanks! Was hoping there was a $20 or less kinda thing. I don't need anything other than the Bluetooth playthrough
