Went from a Grado Gold to a Platinum3 (I’m now running a different cart) at the same time. I upgraded to a Sutherland from a Vincent PHO about 3/6 months laterNice. What else did you upgrade on the table?

Ok, so nothing new on the table itself?Went from a Grado Gold to a Platinum3 (I’m now running a different cart) at the same time. I upgraded to a Sutherland from a Vincent PHO about 3/6 months later
There are a lot of good headphones to be had for $1k USD and under. What are your current headphones? What phono pre with headphone out are you using?my hifi shop has some audeze they sell.. i'll probably enjoy them.. but i heard they need like EQ or something to help or they hurt to wear (hence while i'll probably also keep my sennheisers)...
other than that is it a little overkill to use a 1K headphone for a 400 dollar turntable... its really an upgrade i do wanna make

If you like the 6XX you’ll like the Meze 109 Pro. It’s a nice upgrade to the 6XX in terms of top end detail and sub bass, while still keeping things nice in the mids.sennheiser 6xx

@duke86fan the Meze are supposedly tops in comfortability too.If you like the 6XX you’ll like the Meze 109 Pro. It’s a nice upgrade to the 6XX in terms of top end detail and sub bass, while still keeping things nice in the mids.
If your preamp drives the 6XX well it should be fine with the 109 Pro.
The GR, the upgrade in question was in 2022.Ok, so nothing new on the table itself?
And you have the GR or the new GR2?
Def love mine.@duke86fan the Meze are supposedly tops in comfortability too.
