Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

my hifi shop has some audeze they sell.. i'll probably enjoy them.. but i heard they need like EQ or something to help or they hurt to wear (hence while i'll probably also keep my sennheisers)...

other than that is it a little overkill to use a 1K headphone for a 400 dollar turntable... its really an upgrade i do wanna make
There are a lot of good headphones to be had for $1k USD and under. What are your current headphones? What phono pre with headphone out are you using?

You might do well to invest in a good set of headphones and an amp. I’m partial to the Meze 109 Pro and am hearing good things about the Meze 105 AER. I have the LCD-X and they are excellent, but they are heavy and can get tiresome to wear during long sessions.

i probably just got upgradeitis... i dont really need a upgrade on my table or even my headphones (the 6XX are well respected for good reason)... maybe i should try for a huminguru or record flat instead
If you are looking to split your upgrade cash, I also have a VPI Traveler 2 that I pulled off sale a while ago. Here's the posting - let me know if you want to talk about it. It works very well with the 2M Blue. The retail on the Traveler 2 was about $1500.

Power amp but I gotta say having everything on a battery power supply is very nice. It maintains perfect current through any disruption. Just underrated tech.

Really cool if power dies and I can sit there finishing an album without care. Or the house power blinks and my system doesn't even feel it.
