Yea, still weird that this took 6 years thoIt looks very similar to BOTW which is totally fine IMO. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Can’t wait for the pro players to figure out how to fuse the sky islands together and drop it on Gannon as part of the speed runs .It retains all that made botw great and then added similar “endlessness” to the weapons and vehicle combinations adding to the “you CAN do that” charm.
a) I think the Fusion thing must have taken ages to prototype and test given the zillions of potential combinations.Yea, still weird that this took 6 years tho
These are all probably valid. Still bery excited for this. The verticality of the world looks crazy.a) I think the Fusion thing must have taken ages to prototype and test given the zillions of potential combinations.
b) I think there's way more new content in this thing then we've seen so far. They've been keeping story, zones, etc very very close to the chest.

it's totally a different game. However, in the first shot of this video during the gameplay link was on a horse that looked like it could easily have been somewhere in BOTW if you didn't know any better. It's not that different of the game in the look and feel. The two actually look really different to me, in terms of effect anyway, have since the first trailer. I can see why people are looking at the broad strokes going "this is just BoTW" but all the fine details have really been adding up.
I want to send an arrow with a juicy steak to GannonCan’t wait for the pro players to figure out how to fuse the sky islands together and drop it on Gannon as part of the speed runs .
This is looking really good!
Let's hope that Link can still concoct meals/dishes!I want to send an arrow with a juicy steak to Gannon

tbf the first game’s scope was held back by the Wii U. the Switch port was fairly last minute and not terribly well optimized for the hardware. And d), they are still limited by the same hardware in their capabilities. They really can't make the game look a whole lot better with the current generation of hardware.

it seems like they’re pushing the systems-based aspect a lot further than the Wii U would have been capable of.
I'd argue that mostly demonstrates how godawful the new Pokemon games are from a technical standpoint. While that may be true. Everyone keeps comparing everything on the switch to BoTW as the gold start for graphics performance and textures on the switch.
Even the New Pokemon games were compared to it and complaints about how BoTW looked so much better.
I was so impressed when Link gets knocked off the island and drops into the Warzone, how big the scope and how impressive the draw distance is... sure, the up close textures on the cliff sides and what not aren't great, but there's just that unfortunate cut off of what this 6 year old hardware is capable of.tbf the first game’s scope was held back by the Wii U. the Switch port was fairly last minute and not terribly well optimized for the hardware.

I'm assuming you mean the Tears of the Kingdom editionI preordered the pro controller for no reason other than Best Buy doesn’t charge until release lol.
Love it
ok... Phase 1 is complete. computer arrived yesterday and after some hurdles got Batocera installed, running, added a few additional ROMs to the existing systems, and scraped the artwork.Currently doing the same thing with an old work laptop. It's an i7 from 2017, so no GPU. It'll handle everything up to PS1 I think. I currently have it connected to a 4K 30HZ TV, and Final Burn Neo is stuttering a little bit as a result. I've acquired a bunch of ROM sets over the years and the plan is to test them on this version, then move everything over to my Xbox Series S for a better experience. Missing some of the newer systems ROMs, but have most of the older stuff.
