Everything Video Games!

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is FUCKING BRUTAL. It's not really a Dark Souls game since you can't play multiple ways, there's no cheap way to go about playing the game if something is difficult. You have to play it in a certain way to beat enemies. You can't dodge and attack from afar, you have to parry and attack back to break poise. The window for deflecting is super small and very frustrating to get it off. It's more similar to an Assassin's Creed game with all the sneaking and jumping on roofs/clifs. I need to take my time with it because I feel like I'll just not have fun if I keep trying and trying and dying.

Yup, I hit a wall with this one. As you say, you can’t just persist and will your way through the game like DS or Bloodbourne; at a certain point it felt like I’d internalized none of the skills the game was training me in, and I got hella stuck.

Yeah… there’s not a lot of freedom to play a certain way. Plus most DS-esque games I tend to play a hybrid of magic or ranged or melee. I never tank, never only melee. So im out of my element having to play it one way only.

Got a question for everyone now that I'm hyped for FF16. Is there any good reason to keep my PS4, or sell it and upgrade to PS5? Looks like the games will transfer over and PSVR is backwards compatible as well, so I'm not seeing a compelling reason to hold onto it. For reference, I have a 1TB slim PS4.

I certainly plan on selling mine once I can get one. Everything is backwards compatible or tied to your account

With the release of the new 4070 video card I was really hoping it was going to be a bit better. Decided to get a RX 6950XT to replace my 2060 - that will go into my daughter's computer. I'm sure her Sims will look much better.

The 6950XT was about 50 more than a new 4070, but going by reviews, seems to be a better deal for the money.

I still only play at 1080p, so a new monitor will be my next purchase - just a good 1440p is good, I don't need 4K gaming.
