Everything Video Games!

so far I'm very much enjoying it. it's very Mario and controls just how you'd expect. Mario feels pretty weighty but very snappy. the Wonder Flowers really make things crazy and do a good job of changing things up, and just being silly/fun.

I only got Elephant Mario so far (a lot), no Drill Mario or Bubble Mario yet. Elephant Mario is fun and has some interesting abilities. got Fire Flowers as well, but nothing new there. I'm taking things very slow and revisiting stages when I miss stuff. I'm still on the first world but the map is branching all over the place, so that's cool. nice variety of stages, little challenges, etc...

lots of new enemies, some behave similar to old enemies while others feel very unique to the series. I have to say, watching trailers the new location and enemies seemed weird, but once I started playing that all melted away and it just felt and seemed normal and great.

I've died a few times, but I can't say that anything was difficult so far. I did see one stage that I haven't tried yet with a difficulty rating of 4, whereas everything I've done so far was a 1 or 2, so maybe I'll check that out to get an idea of just how hard it can be.

got a couple of badges, they do a good job of also adding/altering abilities that you can use while playing, and I'm sure different badges can completely change the feel or approach to a stage.

finally the visuals and sound are to die for... it just looks so amazing and sounds so fun. I really love what they did with this game and I'm sure I haven't seen the real good stuff yet! oh, and I really like the new Mario voice, though Mario doesn't really speak outside the occasional "Wahoo" and "Wowie Zowie"

I haven't checked out any of the online yet, but I plan to check it out at some point today

I'm broke and can't afford the deluge of great new recent games. I think I'm finally gonna pick up Disco Elysium on Switch since it's on sale for $10. Always seemed like very much my shit.
I'm so annoyed with myself. I've wanted to play that game for a while and grabbed it on Game Pass the day I got the Series S... but I never played it and when I finally decided to it was off Game Pass and $30 🤦‍♂️

It's sure it's still worth it, i hear it's great! Does suck go miss a deep sale like that.

yeah, it's not a big deal but was just annoying the way it worked out. looks like it's on sale for Switch until 11/1 so I might just grab it there as I probably rather have a game like Disco Elysium handheld anyway. just would have been been nice to at least try it out while it was on Game Pass.

I actually heard Baldur's Gate being compared to Disco Elysium while checking out BG3 reviews which I found interesting... though I haven't played BG3 either

My girlfriend and I finished up the first world in Super Mario Wonder. This is definitely a great fun step up. It’s just a blast to look at and play through. There are a lot of new characters and gameplay additions to keep it really fun. We’ve played through all the traditional Mario games since the Wii. Just really nice to have another Mario game where co-op is a ton of fun. We did Odyssey together and it was just kinda weird that the 2nd player is always just Cappy. Luigi’s Mansion 3 remained pretty fun with Gooigi though.

Warner Games is doing a publisher sale on Steam.

Because we were talking the Arkham games recently....

$8.99 for the Arkham collection (Asylum, City, and Knight). That's a good deal for all great games.
ha ha...I saw that last night on the Xbox store and bought it. I've never played any of these Batman games but have always heard nothing but great things. so another 3 games added to the backlog
