Gang Starr – Step In The Arena
Gang Starr – Moment Of Truth
My uDiscover Music sale grabs finally arrived.
The Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead
Baby Huey - The Baby Huey Story / The Living Legend
Both courtesy of
@Crabbers, the first via an awesome PIF, the second through sale. I'm not enough of a fan to acquire audiophile pressings of the Dead so this B&N pressing serves me well. A Chris Bellman cut and it sounds great!
I kick myself for sleeping on Baby Huey. It's the old adage of "if you want something, buy it now and don't wait for it to sell out or go out-of-print."
@Crabbers was kind enough to sell it to me for a fair price but I still paid more than retail.
Khruangbin - Maria También (7")
BSCBR - Master Of Rehearsal (7")
Con Todo El Mundo is my least-favorite Khruangbin but Maria También is my favorite song on the record. They're a hometown band and I've been seeing them live since they were playing in front of 50 people so I consider myself a patron, if not a completist (although I'm a few titles shy). It's unfortunate the song has been sold for beer commercials but I can't fault them for getting it while the getting is good.
BSCBR is an all-star Sabbath cover band and they sound goooood. Female vocalist. This 7-incher is heavy. The Sweet Leaf echo opener is hilarious and their take on the song rips. Fairies Wear Boots is my favorite Sabbath song so their cover brings a lot of joy. Check out the tunes on their
Bandcamp.
I grabbed one of the limited hand-pour starburst (each one is unique) and it is
gorgeous. Picture doesn't do it justice.
