Roedelius - Selbstportrait Wahre Liebe
Hans-Joachim Roedelius - Tape Archive Essence 1973-1978

These albums are an absolute joy. Anyone with interest in early electronic Eno should check these out ASAP. Selbstportrait Wahre Liebe is the more accessible of the two but both are highly recommended. And Bureau B has more Roedelius reissues coming.

Cluster ā€Žā€“ Zuckerzeit
Inoyama Land ā€Žā€“ Danzindan-Pojidon

Cluster is Roedelius's classic space rock project with Dieter Moebius, although Zuckerzeit is decidely not space rock. It's groundbreaking electro-pop that anticipates the arrival of Kraftwerk's elctro-pop classic Autobahn, which was released a few months later.

Danzindan-Pojidon is Inoyama Land's classic Japanese electronic ambient/environmental (kankyō ongaku) album from 1983.

Oded Tzur ā€Žā€“ Here Be Dragons
Avishai Cohen ā€Žā€“ Big Vicious

ECM jazz! Oded Tzur is a NYC-based Israeli tenor saxophonist who honed his chops in the Tel Aviv jazz scene of the 2000s. But interestingly he studied under Indian grandmaster classical flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia to learn techniques he could apply to saxophone. With these influences, Tzur's jazz is intoxicating and one-of-kind.

Avishai Cohen is an Israeli trumpeter who approaches jazz from an electro/contemporary perspective with nods to contemporary rock and pop. He includes two interesting covers with his original compositions on this record: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata(!), and a haunting rendition of Massive Attack's Teardop.

Both records are fantastic and highly recommended.

The Flaming Lips - Transmissions From The Satellite Heart
Just the one LP today. I have been itching to grab this since it was announced. It looks and sounds great.

@Matt M I worked my way all my YLT records and can confirm they all sound great zero issues with any of the pressings. I am happy with em. Buy with confidence!

Hit the local to meet a friend and drop off his copy of the new Andy Bell, grabbed a couple while there. And the Blakey showed up today too! They were just waiting for Halloween so the colors fit, settle down!

Clipping. - Visions Of Bodies Being Burned
Yo La Tengo - Extra Painful
Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers - Just Coolin'

Iā€™m so happy this got delivered on the weekend! Even happier that my amplifier has been repaired and that Iā€™m back to spinning vinyl! Cannot wait to spin all these five VMP exclusives, especially the GĆ”bor SzabĆ³ and John Lee Hooker! ā™„ļø

This is probably my favourite box this year to be honest! The three ROTMā€™s are superb and I think itā€™s the best month this year so far in terms of ROTM selections, and then to get the John Lee Hooker ROTM and what I think is the best VMP Rising release of 2020, is just priceless! Iā€™m so happy right now! šŸ˜šŸ™ˆšŸ•ŗ
