Lulu from ALC & Madlib came in. That Madlib’s been my favorite release so far this year. The G-Unit & Busta are OG copies from my locals.

Man, CDs are so cheap now, I’m probably going to start filling holes in my CD collection until vinyl prices get back to reasonable rates. I got all these and the book below for less than the Lulu record. Even standard pressings of common albums are regularly $20 minimum. Discogs & the pandemic have caused used record prices to skyrocket too.

Got this sucker for $8.

Non record-related grab: vintage Russian lens. Trying to hop back into my other hobbies to help me stay on this vinyl diet.

Nice pulls! After see this post I looked to see how much I could find a copy of the Wax Poetic Anthology and I was able to find a copy for $8 too!

A preorder from the last Target sale arrives on the eve of the next Target sale.

Tell me that's not a sign to spend frivolously again.

@djdavedk - did you get in on this one?

I did not get in on that one - and I didn't know about it. WOW!
I have a decent number of original KJ 12",10" and 7" singles (I should post a group shot some time) so I'd probably skip that box, as cool as it is.

Nice! It’s a great price! Individual back issues go for so much
A couple of summers ago I sold a ton of rap 12" singles. The guy that bought them came around to pick them up and he was only a kid (early teens I would guess) and had his dad drive him. When he saw the pile of Wax Poetics he said he had been looking for some for a while, so we quickly went through the pile and I let him have all of the rap-related ones (which was the biggest pile really).

If I had more space I would have held on to them, I really like the articles and writing style in them. I kept hold of some that had jazz topics and often find myself skipping through them.
