Andy Hay - Polaris (Self-Released, 2024 Limited Pressing)
Muriel Grossmann – The Light of the Mind (RR GEMS, 2024 Limited Pressing)
The Tony Kinsey Quintet - Play A "Jazz At The Flamingo" Session (Decca, 1957 First Mono Pressing)
London's Gentlemen Of Jazz - Fiddler On The Roof / Sweet Charity (Ace Of Clubs, 1968 First Mono Pressing)
It's been a while since I last shared my recent finds so here are the past few month's worth. First up is a couple of great new releases from Andy Hay and Muriel Grossman, and I've already listened to both more times than I can count, they are wonderful! A while ago I found a sleeve for Tony Kinsey's (British drummer) "Jazz At The Flamingo" album but without a sleeve. I already had the album but took it anyway and recently found a sleeveless LP, so I was able to join the 2 together! Finally, a real oddity in the "Fiddler On The Roof / Sweet Charity" which strangely features a killer trio lineup of Phil Seamen on drums, Tony Lee on bass, and Tony Archer on bass. The mad bit is that although it looks like a cheesy bargain bin find, this actually averages at an eye-watering £126 on Discogs!

Joshua Redman Quartet - MoodSwing (Warner Bros. Records, 2021 Nonesuch Pressing)
Wes Montgomery - The Complete Full House Recordings (Riverside, 2023 First Pressing)
Ashley Henry - Who We Are (Believe, 2024 First Pressing)
Some incredible cheapo buys from ebay. I paid less than £15 for each of these which seems like a pretty great deal to me. The Wes Montgomery has a few marks to the A-side but the rest looks fine, so I'm looking forward to digging into them!

Prince Lasha Ensemble – Insight (CBS, 1966 First Pressing)
This was a great find that I have been looking out for a while now. I don't usually buy from Oxfam online because they WILDLY overprice their stock (to the point where I find it offensive considering they get it as donations). Anyway, they had this reasonably priced so I took the chance and it looks superb. It's an interesting date as it was recorded in the UK with some fantastic British side-men including Stan Tracey, Mike Carr, and Jeff Clyne.

Tony Crombie And His Men - Atmosphere (Columbia, 1959 First 7" Pressing)
Tommy Whittle Quintet - Ten-Bar Gait (Esquire, 1955 First 7" Pressing)
Kenny Graham's Afro-Cubists - Kings Cross Climax / Caravan (Esquire, 1955 First Pressing)
Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro (Faber & Faber, 2010)
Finally, a bunch of 7" records from some killer British jazz musicians. Plus, I visited a book fair on the way to seeing Pat Metheny at the Barbican here in London a few months ago and left with this interesting looking book from Kazuo Ishiguro.
