Sorry but we don't offer discounts.@RichGrado - Thanks for popping in here. Your presence is most appreciated.
Guess I'll ask the question everyone is thinking since you so graciously joined our community - is there the possibility of a discount code for N&G members on your fine products?
I've made my decision - I'll upgrade my turntable in the next 1 or 2 months with a Grado cartridge. Where can I get series 3 in Europe at the moment?
I've checked various places online incl. Amazon, and they only sell series 2...
I’d order it from US amazon to guarantee a 3. When I looked the postage seemed pretty fair and US amazon usually allows you to pay the customs up front so there are no surprises.
Sorry if this has already been discussed but, what's the difference between the gold2 and the gold3?
Some change in the cartridge, everyone who has heard is in love.
What I hear with the Gold3:
Better dynamics
Better stereo separation
A bit better balanced- The 3 still has to warmth and bass response that Grado fans love, but it’s got a bit more treble output.
It’s got better detail retrieval- things buried in the mix are easier to hear/follow.
All of this without an 8MZ.
Did you ever get one of the grado carts/styli retipped? I seem to remember that being a topic of conversation once upon a time.
No I never got one retipped. The guy in Moscow is backlogged. There’s a guy on eBay here in the States with a good rating. And Expert Stylus in the UK.
I've already ordered a few things on amazon.com in the past, always worked fine. Would be about 310€ to my address, but I don't know if I can justify that, since it is about the same price I paid for my turntable. So next question (I know I ask a lot...)A gold3 with postage and import fees deposit of €64.63 is coming out, to Ireland, at €308.48. Amazon usually overestimate the import fees and you get a refund but I’d budget at €300 ordering from there.
They will eventually hit Europe but the European dealers I use haven’t got them yet so it will be a longer lead time. I paid £225.97 (€260ish) from the UK for my Gold2 a year ago.

There's a reputable seller on ebay selling the Gold2 for 210€ brand-new including shipping. Is the Gold3 worth the extra 100€ on my "cheap" pro-ject Debut Carbon Esprit DC turntable?
@RichGrado confirmed they are shipping only Prestige 3s now, all colors. They just haven't updated their online store yet.It actually looks like ordering from Amazon US is direct from Grado. The seller is 4OurEars. Which is weird because I only saw 2s on the 4OurEars website.

Nice setup that you have , I just added my setup to my signature as well. However, I don't have the SB version, meaning that I have to switch speeds 33/45 manually, but besides that our turntables should be the same.Take a look at my sig
Nice deal on the esprit, its nearer €500 over here. I have the 2, it made a huge difference over the ortofon 2m blue. I’m due a 8mz stylus upgrade any day. If I hadnt already got the 8mz on order I’d have been buying a gold 3 right now. I also intend to try out the wood body Grados in the future too. It’s a more than worthwhile upgrade for these tables.
