I don’t think Nas made a complete album after Illmatic but there’s stretches of It Was Written, Stillmatic, and God’s Son that rival the work of any MC I’ve ever heard.

Only one classic album, but he’s easily one of the best MCs to ever IMO

yup as a rapper as of more recent times Nas' character as a person has been in question as allegations of him being a woman beater really disappointed to hear that about him.top 5 tier MC in my opinion.

If Droog ever did an album with Nas it would be the first Droog album I wouldn't buy.

Nas was never that interesting of a rapper and I maintain the only good album he ever did was illmatc. Everything else had some singles and filler. Super talented. Interesting rhymes at times, but Droog is 100x the rapper Nas is today... and Nas is a d-bag.

YOD known angel and his albums definitely don't have filler (or singles but that's cause no one's checking for em)

It almost seems like Droog took the idea of MM...FOOD and decided to make it about Transportation lol I like majority of the tracks. Bikes, bleeps, and busses is my favorite interlude of 2019 so far too haha

While I don't necessarily agree with his assessment of trap/mumble rap, I will agree that the lyrics and flow, in general, seem to have been dumbed down a tonne. We have a lot of 'top tier' rappers right now who are doing some basic early 80s type rhyme schemes.

we all have opinions not everyone is gonna like i take offense when these mumble rappers explicitly say fu*k the OGs & the era that came before them for clout like they're cool for saying that.i truly love hip hop culture and i'm sure many will disagree with my opinion.it's easier to get where i'm coming from for those who grew up in the golden era of Hip Hop.

A lot of charting rappers rap with simpler flows, but I don't see that as a problem itself. There are rappers now that make albums dedicated to "look at me! i can rap and flow well!" that have zero substance and really just come off as obnoxious and mislead
