Last Friday, Stockholm's district court decided that the hip hop star ASAP Rocky was arrested on probable grounds for assault. The decision was immediately appealed to the Svea Court of Appeal, which, however, rejected the defense's request.
Attorney Henrik Olsson Lilja, who represents the artist, instead turned to the Supreme Court with the hope that they would "examine the question of the risk of flight danger". But during the Monday afternoon, HD also announced that it rejects the appeal as it has not "come up with any reason to grant leave to appeal".

ASAP Rocky is currently sitting on the Kronoberg custody at Kungsholmen in Stockholm. He lacks restrictions and is allowed to have contact with the outside world.
- He does not have access to his mobile phone but he is free to contact the outside world via letter and the arrest phone, says Henrik Olsson Lilja.
- He's worried about the situation. For every day that goes, he misses the chance to do his job and meet his fans.
Olsson Lilja also announces that his client is aware of the support he received from his fans and that he is looking forward to meeting them soon again.
In that appeal Olsson Lilja sent in to the Court of Appeal, he emphasized that the deprivation of liberty can cost the artist SEK 16 million in lost revenue, and that the cancellation of the tour can damage his brand so far that it can mean "the end of his career" .
Attorney Magnus Strömberg is the plaintiff in the case. Due to the ban on disclosure that applies to the investigation, he does not have the opportunity to comment on the situation for his client.
- But it's tumultuous and big this. There are many who react in different ways, says Magnus Strömberg to DN.
ASAP Rocky was arrested last Tuesday after a gig at the Smash Festival in Stockholm. Since then, the artist has missed four concerts on his world tour. He has another eight shows scheduled for July.
