On the topic of Radiohead:

- The Bends is my least favorite Radiohead album. At least Pablo Honey had some standard 90s rock fun to it - with The Bends, it still felt like Radiohead didn’t have enough prowess to reach the full potential of what they were reaching for

- My “top 3” is the same as pretty much everybody’s (OKC, Kid A, In Rainbows), but TKOL is my next favorite

On the topic of films (I actually don’t know the exact temperature of these takes):

- Blade Runner 2049 > Blade Runner

- Alien > Aliens

- Independence Day Resurgence > Independence Day (and I hated Resurgence)

No.1- just...no.
No.2- nailed it.
No.3- who gives a .....these are movie opinions btw....as For Radiohead...blegh!!!

Children are not rated highly enough
People who don’t have their first child by some randomly chosen arbitrary age - i’ll say 27, cos it’s how old I was when I had my first (yes! Get to continue this life cos i got in by a week!!) should be rounded up and forced to live out their lives in a gated community

Eh. Depends on the Parents/Kids. I will say parents who don't properly engage and discipline their children thus letting them be holy terrors are the worst and need to be rounded up

Children are the most vulnerable and marginalized population on the planet. It is legal to both hit them and deny them health care. They are abused and trafficked and yet people also think it's okay or even funny to suggest that they be further rounded up and imprisoned for merely being humans at a different developmental level than the typical adult population (the actual source of society's violence and trouble).

Children are people. They learn how to treat others by how we treat each other and them. People who express prejudice against them are no better than people who express prejudice against any other group of people. That's my hot take.

I actually like Hozier, but I feel embarrased to admit it. I don't know why, I feel like I shouldn't like his music.

I think that Selena and Ariana are very different in terms of style and audience. Selena will always be a favorite of the kids who grew up watching her in the Disney products, while Ariana has a more Mariah Carey style.
And Ariana can sing. Selena can't, but she has some really good songs (I like A LOT her last album, Revival).

I mean, listen to this shit:


The studio version of that song is great, but HOW THE IN THE WORLD CAN SHE BE OUT OF TUNE WHEN SHE'S ONLY WHISPERING that's a mistery to me.

So for @Count_Vader here are 5 Irish whiskeys that I think give a good overview of what we do well over here. Before anyone starts wailing about Middleton Very Rare it’s a deliberate omission, yes it’s good but it’s not worth anything like what they charge for it...

Connemara 12 year old

This brand is a bit of an outlier in Irish whiskey in that it’s peated. It has all of that traditional Irish whiskey smoothness but with a smokey flavour more reminiscent of a good scotch.

Teeling Stout Cask

I rave about this one, I think it’s exceptional at its price! It’s a collaboration with the Galway Bay Brewing Company. Teelings send whiskey barrels west to them to age their 200 fathoms Stout in. When it’s done they send the barrels back and Teelings age this whiskey in it. Smooth, sweet, rich and with background hints of dark chocolate.

Bushmills Malt 10

This is the point at which Bushmills stars to get interesting! This is a nice and delicate whiskey that’s very drinkable.

Yellow Spot 12

A really nice medium bodied complex whiskey. This is where we start to get to the really good stuff.

Red Breast 15

This is about as full bodied as Irish whiskey gets. Full of flavour and complexity. As a multiple award winner this is the best, and accordingly most expensive, bottle on this list.
