Interesting that I initially heard the album was coming May 13th and now the release date is June 17th... I wonder if the leak was just bad info or if they pushed it back so they won't have to compete with a new Kendrick album

Ah wait, I hadn't considered that's June 17th for the vinyl, the album itself could still very well come out in May... I'm not awake enough for this.

Yeah the digital release is 13th May with the vinyl out on 17th June as per their website.

I've seen some theorizing that those two dates are why that recent solo Thom track was named "5.17"

Also I gotta say it's kind of a relief for there to be a new Radiohead-adjacent vinyl pre-order that I don't feel pressured to spend money on blindly. Considering that whole Kid A Mnesia debacle was a deciding factor in me putting vinyl collecting on pause, I feel pretty comfortable sticking with hi-res digital on this one.

Thank you for posting this email - Andy got me out a replacement within hours of my email to him, just got it yesterday and spun HTDC and hear very little to no distortion, pre-cleaning it. I recommend anyone with issues on their red set to email Andy!

I got my red version elsewhere. I initially emailed XL and Andy responded. I did not have to disclose where I got the record.

@folsom_lives I did not buy it from them, here's what I wrote:

Hi there,

I'm reaching out to request a replacement for my red copy of Kid A that came in the Kid A Mnesia set. My record has a small chunk missing from the dead wax (see pic) and has horrible distortion on the vocals towards the end of How To Disappear Completely (see video)

Please let me know if you'd like me to send this copy back or if you can just send out a replacement red Kid A. The sleeve/packaging is fine so I just need the record.
