Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

So I decided to spin Hail to the Thief tonight for some reason. The copy I have isn't perfect at all, so I am assuming there is a better version out there. I was wondering what it might be. But...then I realized next year will be the 20th! anniversary of this album. It was the newest album of theirs that was out when I started listening to them. It was one that I've had an odd relationship with over time, but ultimately I think it's really great (duh). Anyway, do we think there will be a big nice deluxe anniversary edition next year? I used to have the double disc CD version that had all the extra songs. I wouldn't mind getting a lot of those on vinyl.
which pressing do you have currently?

Scatterbrain, A Punch Up At A Wedding, and Go To Sleep are my favorite deeper cuts from HTTT. But really every time I listen to it I enjoy the whole ride. I don’t think it’s their tightest collection of songs. But when I enjoy basically all of it and find new things to appreciate most times, I’d say it might be up there for me.
Punchup is great as well. That's on my list as well,

It’s a Capital pressing, 45rpm? The one I have it on on discogs is this one:

But I’m not 100% sure that’s it cause I got it used, from someone on the old forum.
Ah that’s the one I have too. Remember it sounding good but not great, but that’s most of radioheads pressings to be honest…especially the later albums aside from the in rainbows disc box

I did get a newer 180gram pressing of In Rainbows that sounds incredibly good. It made me want to find better versions of HTTT and AMSP (that one is especially not great - and I have the deluxe version).

There has always been a divide between European and American releases with Radiohead. My experience is that OG Parlophones are exceptional. Later release Parlophones are pretty much the same. XL EU presses at Optimal are not as good but usually worthwhile copies if you don’t want to spend big. US Capitol generally are poor masters and average presses. US XL presses at Rainbo and later United are turds.

I have the EU XL of this one. All pressings are 45s far as I am aware. Im more than happy with that pressing. In Rainbows Discbox is the best mastering and pressing of any Radiohead album, and it is not close.

Another sealed copy you say? 👀

Let us know how it went
Well upon first inspection it LOOKS perfect. Jacket is dead mint and discs look mint as well. First 30 seconds of each side are perfect. So gotta clean and listen though. I will link the store with the other sealed copy as soon as I determine that this copy is good. But it ain't exactly a deal, I traded a bunch of stuff to get it, it'll probably be too much with shipping to be realistically considered by most. $200 CAD before tax and shipping.
