This is still taking up a lot more of my brain power than it should. Making me think about my relationship about football and watching it. At the moment I have one of the UK sports TV providers as part of my cable package, so I get some EPL and the European matches. It's technically a freebie, but if I had to pay for it I really wouldn't bother - the EPL highlights I get on my council telly would do me nicely.
At the end of the day, the ESL is meaningless to me, as there is no way I'm going to get up at 4 in the morning to watch teams I don't support. Still, it's the culmination of all that's wrong with modern football, and I really can't be bothered.
I think what I'm going to miss most about Scottish football are the trips to the lower league grounds more than the big teams. It's much more fun. I've spent my afternoon trying to work out who my nearest lower league Melbourne team could be...
My uncle went against the rest of the family up there and supported Motherwell. I had a few fun trips to their games and to Hampden for international in the early 90s with him!
