It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

I mean had we got the 3 today then we are 8 clear. Now we r 7, and assuming City handle business, there's a tie at the top if we lose

6 surely? There’s 2 points between a win and a draw.

I think regardless of your result today them winning away at the Emirates would represent a shift in momentum but dropping points just piles the pressure onto you.

Starting to look like Arsenal is really feeling the after effects of the World Cup runs their players made.
Yea it's weird. Came out with 5 wins and a draw after the cup with some of those being United Newcastle and Spurs. These last 3 matches we've been flat tho. Especially against Everton. We played much better today but had the Ramsdale goof up

It’s a little wobble. No team wins a league without one. Mixture of pressure and the level dropping off a little. The teams that win titles find away to grind their way through it until they get going again.

Looks like you were robbed yesterday @Jonathan Y

One definite and maybe two offsides for the Burnley goal. The VAR ref, retired shit referee Lee Mason, “forgot to draw the offside lines” on the still image. 🤦🏻

I know you can’t change the results of games after the fact but this is getting ridiculous how consistently inconsistent these decisions are

Yesterday was a nadir but West Ham having two goalkeepers is still the worst call for me. The other two were fuck ups. Inexcusable but equally it’s just that someone fucked up. That was such a clear penalty and two referees looked at it and managed to say no. The mind boggles.
