It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Feel free to jump in with MLS talk! @Dtknuckles and @Ginormousthumbs are the resident MLS'ers. I enjoy watching Orlando City as the playoffs get close myself! Also: BRING BACK THE TAMPA BAY MUTINY!
This is my second season following MLS.
I decided to support the Portland Timbers. I think Knuckles supports LAFC….jk…..LA Galaxy.
Do you guys have the MLS season pass? I’m kinda going overboard watching all of the content that they’re putting out but I’m enjoying it.

As far as team loyalties, I’m trying to support DC United since my apartment is walking distance from their stadium (and tickets are cheap when your team currently holds the Wooden Spoon). I also feel some loyalty to the Portland Timbers since I still consider Portland to be “home”.

From what I’ve seen from clips and recaps and things, my other favorite teams are Atlanta United FC and LAFC. Atlanta probably has more players that I like than any other team. They’re so fun to watch and they seem to have a lot of fun. LAFC also seems like a good team to jump on the bandwagon for as they don’t seem to be falling off at all after their winning season last year. Denis Bouanga might be my favorite player to watch in the whole league. At this point, I’m trying to watch the 7 minute recaps of every league game and then and full replays of all of the DC, Portland, LA FC, and Atlanta games - we’ll see how long I can keep that up.

But yeah, other than that, I really like Austin, Dallas, Cincinnati. Miami seems promising, too - lots of great players, great coach and rumors that Messi might be convinced to join them. The only teams that I actively dislike so far are the New York Red Bulls, Houston Dynamo FC, Minnesota United, and Nashville SC.

Favorite players would be: Denis Bouanga, Thiago Almada, Federico Bernardeschi, Klauss, the Roldan brothers in Seattle, and Jesús Ferreira. For DC United, I like Andy Najar and Victor Pálsson. For the Timbers, I haven’t really connected with anyone yet - when I went to a game years ago, I remember liking Sebastian Blanco. Nathan Fogaça was fun to watch in the opener. The Charás might end up growing on me.

I have Season Pass and so far I'm really enjoying it! For a first year service, I think Apple has done a fine job. I'm sure there could be some improvements but I'll leave that to the complainers. I think the MLS360 feature is a great way to catch all of the other action if your specific team isn't playing or has already played. Even though I didn't pay for SP this year, I'll happily pay for it moving forward.
I was looking at the matches this week and 6 of the 14 matches are going to be free so that is also nice for people who don't want to pay.

I was waiting to see if Las Vegas was going to get a franchise before selecting a team, but if that happens it won't be for a while and I'll need to wait and see what the team is named.

Seven Hag curse. He said something to the effect of "Arsenal have been lucky this year, they have had their full team almost the entire season" (which is far from true) and today we get two injuries in the first half to our back line

Oooof! Smashed! At least he earnt that second yellow lol!

This game does feel like all the luck is pointing towards a Sporting win on penos…
