Really? That’d be the worst decision of any sacking. The suggestion of it is nauseating.

Forest going down is still not a bad season for them. They were in the relegation zone in the championship when he arrived. Turned them around with no money and a load of loans and arrived in the premier league with a tiny squad that was a bit shit shorn of those loans. Then landed with the most skattershot manic transfer policy this side of Chelsea and he’s somehow had them playing coherently and out of the bottom 3 for big periods of the season.

Edit: I’d actually say them staying up at all, even on goal difference, makes him a strong contender for manager of the year.

I’m just speculating about Cooper.
 
The only difference currently between LFC and CFC is Liverpool hasn't fired their manager this season. I'd argue maybe Klopp should be up for a sacking but then we're left with a new manager who will also be hamstrung by no decent midfield signings. So just keep rolling it out and hope things will get better.

Yeah everyone in the world can see it’s a player issue and not a manager issue. Would falling completely outside of European places put him in jeopardy or is he safe no matter what?

I think he's safe. FSG knows firing him would look awful since they are culpable for the current status of the club. They don't spend like other clubs to the detriment of the club. They leverage the Liverpool name to make themselves money but are no longer good stewards of the club. And now we'll be missing out on Bellingham without the UCL money. But even with that, I had severe doubts they would meet Dortmund's price. So we'll get a budget option that's serviceable. They'll once again ask Klopp to manufacture points with little help to feed the players those opportunities. It's just maddening because you have the best manager in decades and you really aren't supporting him, while at the same time pulling in massive amounts of revenue, the most in the club's history. They need to sell and get out of the way. I hope the Red Sox go in the toilet again this season, just to spite FSG.
