Also got the Arsenal United friendly tomorrow. Can't wait for the most important game of the weekend tomorrow - Philadelphia Union vs Club Tijuana
Premier League Summer Series is in town and I'm thinking of going on Sunday. I can go to the Fulham v Brentford and Newcastle v Villa double header for about $30 in the nosebleeds. Doubt the stadium will be crowded and will be able to move closer during halftime of the first game.
In the words of the great Randy Jackson "thats gonna be a no for me dog"Did you become a subscriber after that goal?
You didn't buy some T-Mobile subscriber's Season Pass code for like $12 on ebay like I did?In the words of the great Randy Jackson "thats gonna be a no for me dog"

Every generation has its greats.
Sports change.
Yeah I agree with this. So does equipment and training and playing surfaces. Can you really compare Messi and Ronaldo to the likes of Pelé and Best who looked like they floated across the ground on mud baths in hobnail boots? Or Cruyff who alongside Michels pretty much changed how football was played? Or Maradonna who was brilliant because he was crazy. I think all we can do is just enjoy it all.
So many variables involved in any sport.
I might have had the energy in my youth to argue endlessly, but it really is so much easier to sit back and enjoy. Unless they’re playing against your team….
Never mind across sports and even back the 60s and 70s, football has changed so much even since I started watching circa 89/90. Perhaps it’s more technical and physical but it’s hard to be too harsh on those players, defenders could smash them from all angles and pitched didn’t become year round bowling greens until really 15 years ago.
The game has gained so much from protecting skilful players and having better surfaces but in some ways it’s gone too far, I do miss contact actually being allowed in this contact sport lol.
Like playing some enforcers/ goons to protect the stars. Thise enforcers end up with CTE and such later, while not making that much salarybeen a focus on the skilled players.
I’m not sure how much hockey you’ve ever watched, but the NHL has also followed a similar trajectory. While it will always be physical, there has definitely been a focus on the skilled players.
