It’s been fairly even overall. I’m shocked it’s 0-0. I’d be surprised if it’s 0-0 at FT. I have no idea which way this goes.

Edit: I do think this inverted full backs from you in defence is dangerous. In attack fine, they’re good with the ball in front of them and it sustains attack. In defence though it’s scary, neither is good enough with their back to play and on the half turn and if they persist it could well gift us a goal.
 
Poor defending by Shaw and deflection but Sarr had probably been one of the best players on the pitch and that’s nice finish. Let’s see what our metal is like now!

Not without selling first. I know he’s much maligned but McTominay probably needs reintegrating if we don’t. He probably isn’t where ten Haag wants be but equally the squad in general isn’t either so pragmatism is going to be needed.

Villa look good. They’ll be dark horses this year. Seems weird to say but I thought they played well last week despite being thrashed by the barcodes. I like their balance and they’ve got lots of interesting options up front.

Well that is if their entire squads isn’t crocked. On top of last weeks injuries Everton seem to be taking some of their frustrations out with some wild tackles.
