It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

We are talking about their qualities as managers.

You don’t need to be a quality manager to understand or analyse tactics. I don’t think there’s a person on the planet that can’t see that a bit of game management has been needed at Spurs since the crazy Chelsea game last season.

They couldn’t play at the top level in the positions they did without being able to do that. It’s coaching, innovating on tactics and man management where managers really earn their corn.

My brother in Christ, it’s not that serious

Not only is Udogie out for six weeks, but there's a bug going through the squad that'll probably deplete it further.

Anything other than a loss tomorrow would be massive. It’s also at 7:30am so I’m definitely sleeping in and missing the first half.

I think we're just screwed for the bulk of the month. Davies, Van de Ven, Romero, Moore and Richarlison should all be coming back in the second half of the month, but there are lots of players who have to be basically run into the ground in the games prior. Sarr and Maddison are out for the LFC game so even though we get Bentancur back (and Spence) we lose those two. FA Cup game and the Europa game should both allow for some rotation but it's just BRUTAL right now.

I have a feeling things are gonna get real ugly after the (likely) loss to Arsenal. It would be so short-sighted to sack a manager who is being crippled by these injury problems, but I wouldn't put it past Levy if fans go nuts.
