It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Picked up the new kit at today's Monterey Bay FC preseason match. The game didn't count for anything, of course, but they scored 2 starting in the the 79th minute to beat Sacramento Republic 2-1. Hopefully it's a sign of a good season to come.

Well that leaves the whole season hanging on the europa league.
Champions League is all we have left and its laughable knowing we have Madrid if we miraculously get by PSV

only the smallest glimmer of hope is that Saka and Martinelli are due back in 4 weeks so IF we can somehow pull it off against PSV with our patchwork squad we can get some starters back and maybe that'll have some wild motivation to get the guys going!

My heart bleeds for your very good side in second in the league that doesn’t make your eyes bleed watching them.

all jokes aside I was being a little positive! If we can get by PSV, which is a big if, we get our star back as well as Martinelli, that could flip some mental switch and have us playing our best in the quarterfinals against one of the Madrids!

you have not watched our last 2 league matches. I am actually blind, this is a braile keyboard

Yeah I don’t need to. I don’t think I’m watching football over here anymore, just a bunch of lads devoid of any sense of purpose hope or confidence.

You didn't say which Madrid because I was going to say it'll likely be Atletico over Real based on current form. But Real's CL voodoo always hits different. Basically I don't see Arsenal getting by either team. I don't even think you'd get by either team if you were 100% fit. I just don't think this Arsenal team is doing anything significant until you upgrade Havertz/Jesus.

Ownership will upgrade no one next year and then say their plan was to make wonderkid Max Dowman into a false 9 all along, and our attack will suffer until he turns 17 January 2027 :ROFLMAO:

I could see them taking Atletico if they were on top form. They’re solid and hard and will always be in every match but they can be beaten if you are a quality side and turn up and play well. I can’t see how anyone handles Mbappe on current form.
