Tom Petty - Highway Companion

While his Flying V days may have been in his past by this point, still a stellar Tom Petty album. Just one of those all time great artists who still put out quality music 30 years into their career.

Day 5 - $5 record

A day late… possibly the greatest bargain find in my collection. Local record shop with an experienced, knowledgeable owner has this early UK press in the new arrival punk/indie bin, and I’m the lucky one to grab it. There was no logical reason for this to be that low, but it was.

Not the “first thousand” press, but it has the blank back and only 11 tracks. No poster and no Submission.

This album (and the DKs ‘Fresh Fruit’) were my high school intros to punk, so it holds a special place in my personal musical history. Best boy band ever!

Nice. I love Louie Bellson! He solos are very musical and creative. I have a few of his records...I'd say Louie Bellson Jam featuring Blue Mitchell is probably my favorite. Highly recommended.
