Something big available on Ill Considered Bandcamp later today :
Live now. Pricey and no represses so looks to be the only opportunity to get IC10 on wax.
Edit: When I said pricey I hadn't even seen the £34.10 shipping cost.......

I think this is to be seen as a piece of art as much as it is a record tbh. In a similar way to the SAM record Byrd Jazz, where the jacket was hand printed etc.
Helllllllllll no.So did anyone buy it?
It's not even an album, just an EP
Having said that, I am really tempted. I just watched the making of documentary & it looks great. It's definitely about the art. 12 original artworks for £13 each, sounds cheap.

I was all set to purchase & then saw the shipping costs & watched the actual video.

I'm really on the fence. 12 pictures could look fantastic, framed & on my wall. But it would cost a fortune to have them framed & the real big question. What if I got a second from the title sequence? I would be so fucked off. £130 for 12 sheets of paper with a black dot in the middle.
what to do?
Open a Ill Considered 10 Original Artworks Trade thread. Jokes aside, as you and Selaws said this is more a piece of art than a record. It took them 18 months to have it all done so it's not that expensive if you consider how much time they may spent on it. But still, I think that I can have solething better for this price.
I think you're right
I was just about to post the doc here as well. Im also on the fence. I have always thought that Vincent De Boer's artwork is pretty amazing and to have an original piece would be fantastic. BUT as you said, if I ended up with 12 images of the single line or dot I would not be happy at all. Some of them are really stunning pieces. It's not even an album, just an EP

It's still available. How much time did it take for their previous releases to sold out?
They are different for different reasons, but I think branching out into the two albums that bookend Headhunters would be great. Thrust is an obvious choice as it came between the two you enjoy, but Sextant, the precursor to Headhunters is a favorite of mine. Hard to say if you will like it as much or not, but it is worth the listen to see where he was at before Headhunters. My apologies if this had been covered, I’m new to the thread.
I’m looking to explore Herbie Hancock further. I’ve had and loved Headhunters for quite some time but just discovered Man Child this past weekend and it’s incredible! Totally in the same vein as headhunters in my opinion.
So my question to the Herbie heads out there is if I love those two albums what should I listen to next? Does he have any other like them?
Thanks!
If you like that style of Herbie, check out Ceasar Frazier's Hail Caesar. Bout as funky as Headhunters. My apologies if this had been covered, I’m new to the thread.
