Jazz

Jay Bellerose is the shit. Great work with female singers in the past but saw him with Plant and Krauss a few years back and his pocket was a mile deep.
I was wondering where he came from. I hadn’t heard of him before. He seemed the odd man out of the group. Just didnt fit the personal aesthetic of the others.

Wow that looks like quite the package! Whats included? I have an original but tempted by this too!
“I eventually passed on Symphony because I felt the only substantial difference I could add compared to the Wah Wah records reissue was the booklet. They did a great job. Any improvement sonically would have been negligible. Greek Variations was declined. My guess is on UMG/ DECCA already on it. I’ll be first in the queue if they do indeed release it. I’ve got 7 other releases on the go, so enough to keep me busy!

“Kaleidoscope is very special. The tapes were stellar. The sleeve… OMG, I found the original 4 colour separation film sheets for the sleeve art in Archive and that never happens!! So no OG sleeve scanning. It’s back to the source for the audio and the sleeve.
Oh, we also pulled the 16 track 2 inch masters. But that’s a story for another day, maybe.”

Coming this year from the Analogue October label. They have another Neil album coming this year as well that I had posted a few months back

Ooooh I thought this was a photo you took haha. Cool, yeah I have originals of all of Ardleys albums so the only thing that would hook me into getting reissues would be if they had some extra tracks or bonus goodies. Kaleidoscope is probably my least favourite of the "big 3" albums of his trilogy anyway. Interesting to see what people think of it though.

Noooo I wish haha. I believe it may have bonus tracks though

@Selaws i lied:

"No. No additional tracks were recorded at the time. Nothing was dropped, cut or omitted. Everything on the 16 track 2 inch corresponds with the final 1/4 stereo mix down and final release, besides alternate takes and false starts."

so pretty much just seems like a nice new cut + jacket. i haven't gotten any of the Analogue October records yet. There was something about a Mike Taylor Trio album in the works too potentially from the same label.

will be widely available
