This one was announced a few months ago. RTI/RKS/tip-on jackets. First 6 titles or so announced. Went live today. Pretty pricey. Coltrane self-titled was confirmed AAA. US only.

Does anyone know if this got pushed back/cancelled completely?
I didn’t buy much last year so was worried I’d missed it too. Couldn’t see a Discogs entry so assuming not but hoping it will eventually happen.Remembered that in December when I was at my local and was in the ECM bin. I actually thought it had sold out already and I had missed the train. Couldn't find any update neither. Hope it will be released at some point.

Sales:
I’m focused on finding deals on stuff (new and vintage stuff) that I think that, at worst, I could resell at no loss or something reasonable even if the market falls further than it has, which I think it will. Not bc I think the market will tank but bc it was unnaturally high post covid and then, labels jacked up prices accordingly, particularly in jazz, and now there’s a supply glut.Same, the completionist in me keeps me buying some J-jazz, Jazz is Dead and Analog Africa releaseq but that's it. I can buy one or another record from time time but definitely not as I used to. Prices have been killing my love for all of this. This forum might be my last connection with records. Winter sales started here in France and for the first time in maybe 20 years I was not waiting in front of my laptop for it to start to grab some discounted records.
Hard to justify buying anything full price these days. A few exceptions....but things rarely sell out anymore and most things go on sale.I’m focused on finding deals on stuff (new and vintage stuff) that I think that, at worst, I could resell at no loss or something reasonable even if the market falls further than it has, which I think it will. Weirdly, this one just got announced, but wasnt on that last of titles that were meant to come out last year...I didn’t buy much last year so was worried I’d missed it too. Couldn’t see a Discogs entry so assuming not but hoping it will eventually happen.
Did you ever find out anything else about this. Hadn’t realised it was going to be reissued. I have a 70s copy that plays through with light crackles that I’ve always wanted to upgrade.Does anyone know if this got pushed back/cancelled completely?
No, the jackets still suck ass. Most of mine arrived with the glue already coming undone. But the records sound great and I haven't regretted any I've picked up. Really glad I was able to snag a few on the cheap during the udiscover sale.Did you ever find out anything else about this. Hadn’t realised it was going to be reissued. Love this album! I’ve not actually picked up any of the Luminescence albums, as I’ve already got some of them as original pressings which sound pretty good - the jackets all tend to peel though. Are these Luminesence series on tip-on like the tone poets?
Someone tag me when the titles are back up for order!finally!

My guess is that it will be announced tomorrow. I also asked @Ethos99 if he thinks they will be wide releases--I expect they will be.Someone tag me when the titles are back up for order!
we'll find out soon enough. but KG x AAA x RTI x Stoughton tip on means they are taking it seriously at least.I wonder how that Charles Tolliver turned out?
So far, the first 4 are Charlie Rouse - Two is One, Pharoah Sanders - Izipho Zam, Charles Tolliver's Music Inc Live at Slugs Vol I & II double LP and Stanley Cowell - Musa: Ancestral Streams. Release date is April 25th.Sorry which Stratas are they doing?
wow...interesting...glad to hear they are finally making something of this...wonder what condition the tapes are in...and why couldn't they do Winter In America, my original is noisy....So far, the first 4 are Charlie Rouse - Two is One, Pharoah Sanders - Izipho Zam, Charles Tolliver's Music Inc Live at Slugs Vol I & II double LP and Stanley Cowell - Musa: Ancestral Streams. Pressed at Record Technology Inc. (RTI) and mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, the vinyl edition comes in high-quality, glossy tip-on gatefold jackets.
Price seemed to be $35 for the single LP and $45 for the double (Live at Slugs). Seems like the link went live early. Charles Tolliver's son is spearheading it all. Think they have a bunch of other titles coming out too later.
