In college I worked for a record company, a radio station, and a record store and every waking minute at that time was tied to music. I’m surprised I graduated college to be honest. This band was particularly exciting to me and the anticipation for this album’s release was strong. I recall leaving an Ashlee Simpson show (work related, I swear) and seeing Wolf Parade that same night.

I didn't get me no colledge. So I'll go with the first CD I ever bought, to be jammed on the reg in my own place that I bought when I was 20. I was adulting at a very young age.

With so much of my collection to choose from, I decided to go with k.d. lang today because my wife and I heard a couple tracks of hers on WDET on our way to the inlaws earlier today. (her cover of Joni's Help Me and Didn't I)
And coincidentally the DJ also played a version of Case of You by Prince (which I'd definitely never heard) and k.d. does a version of that on this record. It all ties together, man. Not unlike the Dude's rug.
