March 23: The GOAT - Play your favorite Greatest Hits album - or a compilation from a single artist.

Mogwai - As the Love Continues

What? You fool! That's just a normal album, not a greatest hits!

I know, I know, but I don't have any greatest hits on vinyl, and back when this one came out @Thackeraye said, over on the post rock thread:

From the gig it feels very much like a greatest hits of the last 10 years. Not a bad thing in my book.

And I agree.

Otis Redding - The Immortal Otis Redding

Collection of songs that Otis recorded shortly before his death. Listening to this gives me a melancholy feeling. It’s clear that Otis was still at the top of his game and most likely would have continued putting out great music for many years.

March 24: National Cocktail Day - Play an album to drink to....or just drink and play something you like.

There was a scientific study done in my head of where and when had the highest probability of a tallboy being consumed in one swill. The answer was the last eleven minutes of a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Ergo.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More For From The Road

Midland - On the Rocks
“Every songs a drinkin’ song when you’re drinking” is on their second album but this one is the better album.

My then 10yo son used to sing on the street "people say I've got a drinking problem, but I got no problems drinking at all". I imagined social workers were waiting to pounce on me every time...
