March 6: National Day of Unplugging - Play an album that is acoustic or very nearly so.

Pretty unimaginative, but I haven't listened to this one in a while and 'Dignity' is smokin'...

Bob Dylan - MTV Unplugged

I hadn't actually listened to this album before -- for some reason as a capital-F fan of Dylan -- but what does it say about a songwriter when a song this good doesn't make it onto a studio album? Holy shit.

March 5: What's in the box????

I really haven't spun these too many times. There was a period around 2010 that PHM was released so many times, it was hard to really know what was what. The copy I usually play is spread over 3 sides with the cover of Queen's Get Down Make Love.

But the singles in this set are a good listen for the remix versions.

The Men - Campfire Songs EP

This 5 song EP was literally recorded around a campfire with acoustic instruments while the band was in Delaware County, New York recording what would become their New Moon LP. It’s a very relaxed and lo-fi collection.

March 4: Play something that that surprised you. Either you really liked it or really hated it.

For years, my brother and I had jazz debates. He said Herbie, I said Miles. Finally got Mr. Hands (and a copy for him) and, well, he may be right...
