Day 10: Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks (catch-up edition)

One of my favorite albums of all time, Dylan singing about the heartbreak of a relationship past, always for some reason left me even from the first listen back in high school with a yearning feeling. Whether it was for heartbreak in the past or that which was yet to come. It is the album I instantly thought of when I saw this prompt.

DAY 17 - POPTART DAY!
Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
Going with an obvious choice for this one, but Future Nostalgia is seriously so great. Dua Lipa wasn't really on my radar at the beginning of this year but I'm glad I started paying attention because this is AOTY material. Each song feels so well-crafted and at 37 minutes, it's the perfect length. There's not one song I'd take off and there's at least one moment in every track that just makes me freak out every time I hear it. The production is immaculate, the songwriting is incredible and Dua Lipa herself… just wow her voice makes these songs come alive and pop (hehe) with so much energy and emotion. I would highlight some standout tracks but… every song is so great. It's hard to pick just a few. I can't recommend this record enough, I love it to pieces.

So this was a complete FOMO purchase, was intrigued and this was only on his site for a limited time. All's well that ends well, this was one of my favorite albums of 2019.

Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
Going with an obvious choice for this one, but Future Nostalgia is seriously so great. Dua Lipa wasn't really on my radar at the beginning of this year but I'm glad I started paying attention because this is AOTY material. This new Charli album is the first album since FN dropped that's really given it some stiff competition. It's hard to say because How I'm Feeling Now is so new, but with repeated listens, it may overtake it... who knows though? They're both incredible albums for sure.

I havent had a chance to listen to any of fridays albums yet. I didn't love charli's last album but I'm still excited to hear the new one. Cant imagine her or perfume genius topping dua but who knows

So for today I thought I step back in time and pick some Kylie Minogue record, it's the one from 2018 though that actually shows more of a country reference, but still Kylie can be considered a poptart I guess.
