The Flaming Lips - Oczy Mlody

“Yeah, there should be unicorns
The ones with the purple eyes
It should be loud as fuck
Hope the swans don't die
There should be burning sun
And naked slaves
And if the police show up
We'll give them so much money it will make them cry
And forgive us”

Day 6 - Candidate
But there's a shop on the corner that's selling papier mache / Making bullet-proof faces, Charlie Manson, Cassius Clay
Play something with strange or non-sensical lyrics

Love the grooves on this album, and the lyrics flow, but they don't always make sense. I suppose that's the point of music though, it doesn't matter if you know what peanut butter vibes are, if you can feel it when they sing it.

Right, my little pooh bear, wanna take a chance?
Wanna sip the smooth air, kick it in the sand
I'd say I told you so but you just gonna cry
You just wanna know those peanut butter vibes

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

Definitely some strange lyrics on the title track and Ballad of a Thin Man particularly.

“Reba sink a boulder in the water
Reba tie a cable to a tree
Reba stuck in a game of lipstick perfume flypaper
Reba press a razor to a slide cross a needle with a prune”

Wut?

This is the album that introduced us to Vonlenska, a gibberish, made up language that the band would use exclusively on their follow up ( )

Ween - The Mollusk

Mutilated lips give a kiss on the wrist
Of the worm like tips of tentacles expanding
In my mind, I'm fine, accepting only fresh brine
You can get another drop of this, yeah you wish”

The first time I ever heard of Ween was when Pat joined the band in the movie It’s Pat: The Movie.

Joe - Signature - "Come Get To This"

Joe plays a super-tasteful rendition of Marvin Gaye's "Come Get To This" on his 2009 album "Signature". BTW, I'm so impressed how Joe stays so classy, considering he essentially only sings about gettin busy in the hizzy. Also, like most of his catalog, this album is still only available on CD.

Day 7 - I’m Waiting for the Man
Play a cover

I've got to go back and do yesterday's but I wanted to listen to this album again this morning and it fits today's challenge. This is an excellent album of covers and I really love the first track which is a cover of Bowie's Five Years.
