Movies

Oh my goodness:

Just when I thought the Coens were wrapping their run up, we have the potential of them separately delivering twice as many movies as they’d make together.

I can't wait to get your impressions of the movie.
I just posted my thoughts on Letterboxd if you're interested in my take!

I promise it's my genuine review and not some April Fools thing where I pretend it's the greatest thing ever. The thought did cross my mind though 😂

This description has me even more intrigued. It's also apparently inspired by Russ Meyer.

I thought it was much better than orient express .. pleasantly surprised
We watched Death On The Nile earlier today and enjoyed it. We actually slightly preferred Murder On The Orient Express but there wasn't much between them, both were enjoyable.

We noticed that they revised the story as the ending of Murder On The Orient Express had him rush to Egypt for Death On The Nile. But the timelines no longer matched and the death hadn't happened.

I also watched Nightmare Alley last night.

It certainly wasn't what I expected, with it being a Guillermo del Toro film I expected it to be an out-there fantasy/mind mess. Honestly, I really enjoyed it and have been thinking about certain details all day. I really liked the savagery of the storyline (that ending..phew!) and I also enjoyed how the viewer had to make certain connections without them being spoonfed to us. Really good.
