Movies

Did y'all skip Swiss Army Man?
I actually thought it was so stupid sounding that I never watched it, but after watching Everything Everywhere All At Once, I now NEED to watch it. Because as goofy and bonkers as this movie is, it completely sticks an emotional landing. I'm pretty floored by how it managed to do so many things that shouldn't work together, and yet...it all does.

It's tough to really describe what this movie is, and I think that's the best selling point. It's super unique. What a great film to choose as my return to the theater. Just a lot of fun.

Also Michelle Yeoh and Stephanie Hsu are phenomenal.

Completely aside from any scandals or controversies involving these movies, they were just very meh (based on the first two, I'm not planning on heading out to see the third any time soon).
Read a post that said if Rowling spent as much time working on these movies as she did spreading hate on Twitter, the franchise probably wouldn't be in this situation. I'm inclined to agree. I have no sympathy though because she did it to herself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The first FB sucked so hard that it almost burned away all good will I had for the franchise by itself, but then Jo, the queen of suck, took care of the rest. HP was formative for me and a lot of people, and I have some nostalgia for it, but I'm begging for everybody to move on, the amount of people in their 30s who still make it a personality trait is too damn high.
