Saw Jurassic World Dominion. First time in the cinema since Star Wars: RoS. Main take out is that my hearing isn't what it was - I thought the cinema was fairly quiet - I'm just deaf!

Movie is fine. It's very much a blockbuster movie of this generation. Not overly exciting, a bit too long, but not too bad?

not sure how the Au healthcare system is but I would try and see a ENT specialist to get a good ear cleaning and hearing test. Try and avoid earbuds, use headphones at low/nominal levels and wear hearing protection at loud live events.

As for movies, I hope Hollywood and world film start to pick up now. We deserve a better summer than a 6th Dino's rehash and an aging Cruise.

Earplugs for most loud things, so I've learned!

Idk. I came out of the theater thinking it was pretty bad. Thought the CGI in more than a few scenes looked like trash. And the dialogue, Laura Dern's especially, was just awful.

Add to that the complete lack of intrigue about any of the dino characters in the WHOLE WORLD this time (look! Giant grasshoppers!), relegating the scope of the movie to a sanctuary (read: Park), and forced callbacks to death scenes from previous movies, it just came across as lazy and a missed opportunity. I wanted more worldly interactions like they showed on the fishing boat. How is THAT and other dino interactions in the real world not the story?

Yeah, totally agree on all points. The movie they didn’t make is a much more interesting movie.
