I haven't seen RRR but that kinda made me want to.Naatu Naatu is such a fucking banger, that shit ruled
You would love it, Gap. Probably the most fun I had with a movie last yearI haven't seen RRR but that kinda made me want to.
You gotta Rise/Roar/RevoltI haven't seen RRR but that kinda made me want to.
this was a heartbreaking result; catch Ice Merchants when you can!Caught all the Oscar-nominated animated shorts last night. Everyone: do yourself a favor and watch The Ice Merchants. Bring tissues.
Ice Merchants would be my pick to win, and I think it has a decent chance. I could also see a world where The Boy, The Mole etc wins, mainly because it has a lot of money and names behind it; but I thought it was treacle. My Year of Dicks is really imaginative, thoughtful, and fun; I'd be very happy to see it win.
I got a beach towelTonight feels super gratifying as a longtime A24 fan. It's fantastic to see cinematic undercurrents gain greater prominence. And just as the film industry should take notes on the studio's curative, creative ethos, any patron-based subscription/club program should take note of how well they're treating their most avid fans with A24 All Access (AAA24).
If anyone's been waffling on the thought of joining AAA24, my experience has been more than worth the $55 annual cost. Initially, I was happy with the bimonthly zines, screening room discounts, and theater ticket deals, but then my birthday rolled around and they absolutely floored me. Where most sites/stores auto-blast out a piddly 5–10% discount code as a birthday pittance, AAA24 opens up a section of their merch site and says, "What do you want?" Insane! (I picked a trio of assorted film title coffee mugs since I already owned a few of the other offered items.)
Yeah, that got scary for two secondsKinda wild how there was a point tonight where it seemed we’d get an All Quiet on the Western Front sweep
Interestingly the German Reviews for the movie were not particularly good especially since it's seen as a lot less nuanced and true to the book than the original movieAll Quiet on the Western Front (2022) - Directed by ChatGPT.
Marcel erasure! Nicecore masterpiece.I missed the first 30 minutes or so of the ceremony so I didn't see it but I'm very happy GDT's Pinocchio won Best Animated Film. It's a beautiful masterpiece of a movie that more than deserved the win, even though Turning Red and Puss in Boots were also really good.
Kinda wild how there was a point tonight where it seemed we’d get an All Quiet on the Western Front sweep
Then Sarah Polley swooped in to save the vibes once again this season. Pretty happy with like 90% of the winners this year.Yeah, that got scary for two seconds
